I've got a 2000 pontiac sunfire gt. l am wondering if anyone knows how to program the remote keyless entry with this vehicle. l found this: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Pontiac-Repair-828/2000-Sunfire-RKE-Programming.htm
But there was no connector in my trunk. From the trunk solenoid ran a black wireand out of the trunk. Anyone know how to do this???
You need a connector for the trunk, in the dash, so u may have the wrong or incompatible relay. Aftermarketers have the correct part, usually with an alarm system, also for remote door locks. It has to be separate, if u tapped into a wire u would be opening the trunk every time u open the doors. Also a unique trick, if & when u have everything working properly. Pulling the main red 50 amp. fuse & reconnecting it in the box behind the battery with everything off will open the trunk & doors, on an aftermarket setup.
